One Day Too Soon

Last Wednesday, I took a vacation to celebrate “take care of your cows day” as Dr. John came over and we worked all of the cattle. To all of the farmers that raise cattle, the best money I ever spent on the farm was for the working facilities; I didn’t even break a sweat Wednesday. One thing we did was check all of the cattle for any sign of pinkeye, and we did treat a few. On Thursday, the bull was squinting an eye but looked fine. We would have likely treated him on Wednesday if he was acting that way then. For sure on Friday morning, he had it. So we ran him through again, and he surprisingly didn’t put up any fight and we got him treated. The last animal I want to have issues with right now is with the bull.
