Beverly-Waterford students, teachers doing well adjusting to school year

Since the day classes abruptly ended due to a state-wide mandate in March 2020, many people in the Beverly-Waterford community have wondered how COVID-19 will affect the classroom for the coming year.

Remote learning proved to be somewhat of a challenge for teachers and students. Many classes for high school students functioned as true online platforms, meaning lessons were posted and reviewed on the students’ own time, increasing responsibility while giving flexibility to student schedules. While some students did very well with the flexibility, some students struggled with accountability. As a result, teachers were compelled to be more lenient.
