Summer reading at the Beverly Library

Hi, all! As of right now, the Beverly Library is only open as far as curbside pickup. Just call us or place holds online, and we will have them waiting at the front door. Just make sure you place holds on items in Washington County. We don’t have state-wide delivery at the moment. Our meeting room is being used as a computer room. To use the computers, make an appointment by calling. Our programming is also going to be different, but still good. The staff took this time to think of ways we could provide programming, but follow social distancing. So here is what we came up with.

B-W Virtual Bunny Hop a success

When Alyvia Oliver, a Waterford High School junior, submitted her drawing into the annual contest to design a shirt for the 2020 Bunny Hop, she had never heard of the coronavirus; no one had. Weeks later, the race was canceled, and then rescheduled in a new virtual format so that those local volunteer organizations could still benefit. On May 1, the virtual race ended with over 170 runners and walkers from all over the country participating. Each will receive a shirt with Alyvia’s design on the front in celebration of this year’s Bunny Hop.
