According to Brad McCune, President of the Buckeye Allis Club, “every tractor has a story.” This is the story of one such tractor and of the family whom it has served for generations.

In May of 1959, McCune’s grandfather, Carl “Bud” McCune and his wife Charlotte, of Muskingum County, were looking for a piece of property to farm. They found it in Morgan County – 112 acres outside of Malta. After purchasing the land, Bud bought a brand new Allis-Chalmers D14 farm tractor from Coffey’s Allis-Chalmers dealership in Chandlersville. It was the first and only tractor he ever bought new from a dealership.
