Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) crews were busy over the past week tending to a second landslide that occurred earlier this spring near the SR 376 slip work site.

In mid April, ODOT’s construction team discovered a 300-foot landslide north of the existing work area. ODOT project engineer Derek Thieman said the land was sliding approximately 20 feet deep on top of bedrock. “Our crews are excavating the failed sliding mass down to the bedrock to stabilize the area.” Shelly and Sands is the contractor on the project.
