Applications to participate in the 4-H Riding Therapy Program for this summer are now available at the OSU Extension Office, 155 E. Main St., 3rd floor of the Riecker Bldg., in McConnelsville, OH. You must be a resident of Morgan County, at least 3 years of age, been diagnosed with a developmental disability, fill out the application and waiver in its entirety, approved by a physician and legal guardian, or if you are your own legal guardian you may sign your own application. A horse drawn cart is now available for those who are in wheelchairs.

Applications are due back to the Extension Office by Friday, June 28. Riders will be notified by phone before July 5 if they are accepted. The first riding session is Thursday, July 11, and be held each Thursday at 6:30 p.m. thereafter, at the horse arena on the river at the Morgan County Fairgrounds, unless it is canceled due to rain or excessive heat. There is no cost to participate in the program.
