The coronavirus vaccine rollout has commenced in Morgan County, and the Morgan County Health Department has worked hard to both administer the vaccine and ensure confidence in it.

As of Thursday, Jan. 7, the Health Department had 30 of the initial 100 doses of the vaccine left, with another shipment on the way. They are currently finishing up Phase 1A and approaching Phase 1B of Ohio’s phased approach to the vaccine distribution. Phase 1A includes healthcare workers and those who are actively combatting COVID-19, residents and staff of nursing homes, assisted living facilities and psychiatric hospitals. Also included are people with developmental disabilities and people living with mental health disorders who reside in group homes or residential facilities and staff in those places.
