The Morgan County Historical Society celebrated its 50th anniversary this past Saturday by presenting an Open House for all seven of its historic buildings in McConnelsville and Malta.

Festivities included tours of the Morgan County Museum which hosts relics of natural history, Native American artifacts, and paraphernalia from wars spanning the Civil to Iraq, as well as possessions from notable past residents such as artist Howard Chandler Christy and magician McDonald Birch.
