Law enforcement officers carry Flame of Hope

Officers join together to bike, run and walk all across Ohio carrying the Flame of Hope into Columbus to ignite the ceremonial cauldron to officially begin the 2019 Special Olympics Ohio Summer Games to be held on the Ohio State University Campus, Jesse Owen’s Stadium and surrounding venues from Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30.

The officers will be coming from Washington County to McConnelsville on Wednesday, June 26, arriving at 11 a.m. at the Commons and will run down Main St., in McConnelsville, and continue to the Chet Goins Field in Malta. They will then meet and greet with local athletes and other supporters.
