South Elementary teacher Amy Konkler brought her newest reading intervention program before the Morgan Local School Board during the September meeting. South Principal Joel Fox had asked Konkler to share their findings of a restructured curriculum they had first implemented for the 2017-2018 school year.

“Four years ago, I had kids going into first grade struggling to read, which meant those teachers spent a lot of time closing the gap,” shared Konkler. She researched online for new programs and came across RICU (Reading Intensive Care Unit).
