The 4-H Easter Egg sales have been canceled for this year, according to Debbie Earich, who explained they received a directive from the Ohio State University Extension to cancel all 4-H fundraisers until further notice.

CR 74 Road Closure

Health Department Guidelines

The Morgan County Health Dept. states that there is a lot happening quickly in our world, some of which is so very new to all of us. Residents are asked at this time to use every caution and heed every warning that the Health Department is sending out. Follow them on Facebook, check their website for updated information, check on your elderly family members and friends. Also, call ahead for their services. If you are looking for or needing Environmental Dept. guidance, they can most generally answer questions or provide what is needed via email. The office is still doing flu shots, but again, if possible, call ahead. There is a sign on the door asking if you are ill at this time to call from outside the building, so they can prepare for your entry.

The Morgan County Health Department will hold a MANDATORY meeting for the Sewage Installers that did not attend the December 5 meeting. It is REQUIRED that you attend or WILL NOT be issued a 2020 permit to install. This REQUIRED meeting will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2019.

Habitat Auction

The 15th Annual Habitat For Humanity Gift and Tree Auction will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Stockport Mill in Stockport. A $7.50 cover fee will be charged at the door for the appetizer buffet and auction. “This is an evening of teamwork, food and fun for everyone,” stated a spokesperson. For the last two years, the auction raised funds to help build a house in Malta for a deserving family. See ad on Page 7A for more information.
