Over $9,000 awarded to Morgan County for emergency food and shelter; voluntary agencies encouraged to apply

Morgan County has been awarded federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, according to the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties. The county was chosen to receive $9,467 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs.

“We encourage new applicants who are doing work in this area to apply,” stated Becky Clawson of the United Way.
