This past Friday, June 19, the Multicultural Genealogy Society (MGS) of Chesterhill organized a “March for Change,” where people from all over Southeastern Ohio gathered to advocate Juneteenth and bring awareness to the international “Black Lives Matter” movement.

The marchers met at the Chesterhill Church of Christ and marched almost half a mile to the Chesterhill Post Office, chanting “Black Lives Matter;” “No Justice, No Peace;” and “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot!” Opening remarks were made at the church’s pavilion, by reading devotions and statistics highlighting the ongoing struggle against racism.
