Jeremy A. Anderson, 28, of Hackney, was called home on Sunday, August 4, 2019, at his home.

He was born on December 21, 1990, in Columbus, Ohio.

Jeremy leaves behind his parents, Kevin and Carol Anderson of Hackney; siblings, Jason (Stacey), Josh (Danielle), Joey, Jacob (Emily), Jessica (Colyn), Jordan, Jonathan (Kylynn) and Justin. He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews, and they all loved their Uncle Jeremy.

He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 2010 and from Shawnee State University in 2015. He was a Cadet and a Bear both in Cross Country and Track. Jeremy was a fan of Ohio State sports and the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He was an avid runner and loved everything about running. Jeremy had worked for Hocking Valley Bank and was currently employed at Tri-County Water. Once in awhile, he worked a shift at Turner’s One Stop Shop in Waterford. He always had a smile on his face.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Wendy Jo and Danny Ray of Malta; Randy and Roberta Anderson of Hackney; and Everett and Ellen Anderson of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Now Jeremy truly can “Run and not be weary” Isaiah 40:31.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2019, at McCurdy Funeral Home, in Beverly, with Evang. Zack Waite officiating.

Burial will be in Smith Chapel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Donations may be made to the Fort Frye Athletic Boosters for the benefit of Track and Cross Country.
