Millie Anne Reed, 96, of McConnelsville, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, March, 22, 2020.

She was born on February 17, 1924, in Newhall, West Virginia, to the late William Henry and Rose Eva Lou Harrison Medley.

Millie was a homemaker and worked on the family farm. She was a founding member of the Evangelical Methodist Church in Little Hocking and a founding member of the Pilgrim Bible Church in Malta. She was a member of the WTCU and volunteered for many years at the Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville.

She is survived by two sons, John Paul Reed of Waterford and James Elliott Reed of Zanesville; four daughters, Sharon Peyton of Malta, Eleanor Lear of Dresden, Bertha Matheney of Lancaster, and Mary Foreman of Washington, NC; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul E. Reed; two brothers, Homer and Joseph; and three sisters, Velma, Glendora and Hattie.

A private, family-only service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Burial will follow in the Malta Cemetery.

The family may arrive at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
