Thomas S. Morgan, 72, of McConnelsville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 11, 2020, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born January 31, 1948, in Zanesville, to the late Scott Morgan and Kathryn Sagel Morgan.

Thomas was retired from the Central Ohio Coal Company where he had worked for 38 and 1/2 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 389 of Beverly. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Tom was also a 45-year member of the Morgan Family Deer Camp.

He is survived by a daughter, Hope Marie (Jason) Campbell of Beverly; a son, Eric Scott Morgan of McConnelsville; five grandchildren; and a sister, Sally Ireland of Chaplin, CT. Also surviving is his significant other and best friend, Susie Spencer; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 6 p.m., at the funeral home, with Pastor Galen Finley officiating.

After the service, military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post No. 24 Color Guard.
