William “Bill” K. Kinney, 68, of McConnelsville, passed away on Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born on April 4, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Elijah Kenney and Helen Moore Hambel.

He retired from Adkins Lumber Co. in Beverly. He loved woodworking, fishing, hunting, and the outdoors. He was a decorated Boy Scout and a black belt of Alii-Kane Tae-Kwon-do.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years (May 27, 1973) Janet Stevens Kinney of the home; a son, Jason (Suzan) Kinney of Nashport; a daughter, Jennifer (Ty) Shuster of Stockport; four sisters, Lynda (Roger) Dillie of McConnelsville, Patti Sands of Mt. Vernon, Teresa Winchek of Dayton, and Pam Elam of Dayton; three grandchildren, Mideya (Tyler Treadway) Kinney, Brayden and Colten Shuster; and many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at the Matheney Funeral Home, in McConnelsville, with burial following in the Meigsville Cemetery.

Friends may call on the family from 11 to 1 p.m. on the day of the services.
