Sophia Smith's long-range buzzer-beater completed Morgan's second-half comeback bid in the Lady Raider's 54-53 victory at New Lexington. However, they could not overcome a second-half deficit in a 76-66 loss to Maysville.

The Lady Raiders will finish off the month of January with three straight home contests. The varsity will entertain Rosecrans in a nonleague matchup Wednesday (tonight) as part of a tripleheader. The freshmen boys at 5 p.m., followed by the junior varsity boys at 6 p.m., will play Warren. Those two games were originally scheduled for Thursday, but have been moved to Wednesday. The varsity girls game with the Lady Bishops will follow those two contests. The Lady Raiders return to MVL action when West Muskingum visits on Saturday afternoon. The junior varsity game is at 1 p.m. Philo visits MoCo on Wednesday, Jan. 29. Reserve action is slated for 6 p.m.
