The Waterford football team pounced late as the Wildcats rallied for a tough 26-16 Tri-Valley Conference Hocking Division win at Belpre. The win allowed Waterford to clinch a home first-round playoff game for the fourth straight year.

“I was proud of our football team because they could have given up when things were not going our way,” observed Coach Eric McCutcheon. “But, they just kept grinding. Finally, a break went our way, and our kids had a very good fourth quarter to come out with the huge win.”
