Just two weeks ago, the Waterford Wildcat football team was on the outside looking in of the Division VII playoff picture standing in ninth place. After rallying to beat Wahama and blowing past the Tornadoes of Southern, the unofficial joeeitel.com has the Wildcats moving into fourth of Region 27 when the official OHSAA standings are released on Tuesday afternoon.

This week, Waterford was supposed to play Federal Hocking in its final regular-season home contest on Senior Night. However, Federal Hocking administration announced two weeks ago they were canceling the rest of their season due to a lack of players. The OHSAA has declared it a forfeit win for Waterford.
