Michael R. Apperson

Michael R. Apperson, 64, of McConnelsville, passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017.

He was born on March 4, 1953, in Massillon, Ohio, to Carl R. and Beulah Earley Apperson.

He worked at Miba Bearings, McConnelsville, in the Plating Division and was a long time standing member of the Main Street Church of Christ.

He is survived by his mother, Beulah Apperson of McConnelsville; his wife of 43 years, Cindy Driggs Apperson of the home; five sons, Chris (Brandy) Apperson of McConnelsville, Cory Apperson of Malta, Casey Apperson of Johnstown, Cody (Meg) Apperson of Fayetteville, NC, and Catlin (Samantha) Apperson of McConnelsville; a daughter, Alicia (Chris) Jenkins of Little Hocking; a sister, Sandy (Steve) Worthington of Crooksville; 16 grandchildren; and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Roberta Tompkins.

A Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, at the Main Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville.

 

 

Friends may call on the family from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church on the day of the services.

Mike touched many lives. Nothing was more important to him than the Lord, and his family. He loved spending time with them. He was his grandkids biggest fan and was known as “Papaw Mike” to many in the community. He was a great example of Christ’s love and will be missed by all.
